Sony’s PlayStation division in Europe have announced the Official PlayStation App. This announcement came via Sony’s European PlayStation blog and is said to launch soon.This app will be available for iPhone, iPod touch OS 4 and up. This app will also work with Android devices minimum OS 1.6 and up. (Sony’s Xperia X10A phone is still only running Android 1.6, pictured)
Features in the app are similar to those found on the PlayStation site. In the launch version, users can check their PlayStation Trophies and know when their friends are online. You’ll also be able to hear about new games, products and events on the fly.

This hasn’t been announced in the U.S, yet, and will launch in UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and The Netherlands.
