We’ve already pointed out that Gamestop was starting to trade and buy iPad’s and iPhones. I noticed that my local Gamestop already has their banner out saying they are taking trade-ins for these devices. Now the company is looking to launch their own Android based tablet for gaming.
Tony Bartel, president of Gamestop, explained the tablet is in testing and it is being prepared for sale and distribution. The tablet will, of course, play mobile games and the company is working on exclusive titles. The tablet is said to come with some alternative control peripheral, for example a controller, that will allow that missing hands on element that is current on today’s tablets.
