One of the coolest features of the iPad 2 and 3rd Gen iPad is the ability to use the Smart Covers. However, the Smart Covers didn’t protect the back of the iPad. Sure, Jobs wanted minimalism but consumers want to protect their investments. There are 3rd party options like the Griffin IntelliCase but it only comes in the standard black color. Apple’s new Smart Case comes in Light Gray, Green, Blue, Dark Gray, Pink and Red. Just like a standard Smart Cover, the front can be used as a keyboard stand and/or a movie stand.
