Why use a sniper rifle to take out two guys at point blank when you can use a shotgun? Leave it to Activision for turning its sensationalized dualfest into a ‘love’ triangle.
Activision claims that EA deliberately tried to sabatage one of their main milk machines by going after the heads of their precious studio – Infinity Ward.
“Unable to compete with Activision and Infinity Ward, and, upon information and belief, enraged by the recent defection of two Electronic Arts executives to Activision (unlike West and Zampella, the executives who left Electronic Arts were not under employment contracts), Electronic Arts was determined to retaliate. Electronic Arts set out to destabilize, disrupt and to attempt to destroy Infinity Ward”
EA retaliates by accusing Activision for misdirection.
“Activision wants to hide the fact that they have no credible response to the claim of two artists who were fired and now just want to get paid for their work,” said EA spokesman Jeff Brown.
Activision then stands with arms folded and says witness our powaah by dropping their mega stats on their latest game sales: $1 billion in sales for Black Ops and 3.3 million copies of World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
EA: 9 words – Dead Space 2, Crysis 2 and Mass Effect 3.
2011 is looking to shape into a major battlefield. Great to be a gamer.
