Thursday, Feb 10 is the official launch of the iPhone 4 for Verizon customers. This is a big day for Verizon who have had a good week already with iPhone sales. Reports are saying some Verizon stores have long lines and Apple stores, well, not so much.
The phone became available from 7:00am at Apple stores and Verizon stores in New York. Areas near North and South Dakota are expected to have big iPhone sales, due to a lack of AT&T coverage in that part of the country.
The Verizon iPhone 4 has already been a hit within Verizon customers already. Verizon posted this past weekend that they sold more iPhone 4s within two hours, and that beat every other phone’s one day sales total. They expected the momentum to carry throughout the week.
With the iPhone officially on Verizon’s networks, the truth will come out. Was it the amount of people on AT&T’s network that causes the dropouts, or just an unreliable service.
