A few days ago, we saw a leaked MAP from Verizon showing that they would drop the price of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus down to $199.99 on a 2 year contract. We called a local Verizon store around 10AM PST and they quoted us a price of $299.99, which surprised me. A few hours later, we called back and they quoted us the $199.99 price. This directly matches with Sprint’s launch price of the Galaxy Nexus. But has it dropped just because of a competitor launch? I’m sure it has something to do with it, but Verizon is also planning to launch some new HTC, Samsung and Motorola devices in the next month as well.
