Well after TheNextWeb leaked out the draft press release of Google Drive, we knew it was just a matter of days for Google to launch their cloud locker product. Today, it has been officially announced and launched to the public. You can head over to drive.google.com, sign up and start storing your info. Is Google Drive the new version of Google Docs? It looks likes it. According to the Google Docs Blog, the mobile app will be replaced with the new Google Drive app. Of course at launch, the mobile app is only for Android. You can still get the 5GB for free and the upgrade options are pretty decent:
- 25GB for $2.49/month
- 100GB for $4.99/month
- 1TB for $49.99/month
