Aiming right between the eyes of iTunes comes Google Music. Reported by CNet, Google is behind close doors putting together the final touches on what will be Android’s answer to Apple’s music service. However, it appears that Google is still negotiating with labels to get the content through the door – a big challenge considering iTunes dominance in the music download market. To date, iTunes controls over 70 percent. Google Music is anticipated to stream music via PCs and Android-based devices. It is expected that tracks will be downloadable or streaming through purchases at the Android Marketplace.
