Without explanation save this post on Microsoft’s support forums Microsoft ended their validation program that verifies valid Microsoft Office installs. This is not the end of Microsoft’s anti-piracy programs however, a spokeswoman states “Given our strong commitment to anti-piracy, we are making several new investments that will allow us to engage with customers and help victims of fraud.”
