Before the Wireless Weekly podcast, I received an update to my Netflix on my iPad. Although its not the HD delivery I was hoping for, it did add some nice visual features to the app. First of all, the on screen bar for navigating during your show is now huge; in fact it takes up a large portion of the bottom screen. Now if you want to scroll to another section of the show/movie, its so much easier. Similar to how it is on the PS3 version, as you scroll a visual thumbnail of the show appears on screen (see below). Also, in the older version, I confused the volume control with the navigation control a lot. Now the volume and subtitle control is in the upper right hand corner.
The official changelog includes:
- Enhancements to the player user interface
- Ability to select audio language when available (requires iOS 5.0 or greater)
- General performance improvements
