I’ve only encountered this once. If you’re one of those early adopters of the Nintendo’s new hot toy, you may have to revisit your favorite retailer when there’s another available shipments of the 3DS. The full error reads:
An error has occurred. Hold down the Power button to turn off power, then turn it on and try again. If the problem persists, please contact your local customer support center.
I actually would be more happy seeing some kind of code, key, or anything. While those kinds of errors would sound less friendly, it is more informative and could lead to solving issues of the 3DS units at the production level. The Q&A team must be sweating from seeing this news. Nintendo’s response?
