Obama and Romney Duke It Out on iOS Game Infinity Blade Clone, Vote!!! The Game

Chair Entertainment, the same guys behind the official Infinity Blade game quickly got together to produce Vote!!! – an iOS game that allows players to choose their favorite candidate and whack their opponent with mics, balloon swords, Liberty-torch mounted lightsabers, BBQ hot dogs on forks and even a rolled up scroll of the Constitution. Infinity Blade vets will find the gameplay familiar albeit with some seriously twisted costumes and upgrades.

Upgrades incude things like “Good Press”, “Super PAC” and other terms that could give even the lightly informed voter the chuckle. Additionally, labels like “Personal Attack” and “Debate” show up when a successful combo has been accomplished by either candidate in the hopes to reach virtual presidency.

Developers Chair Entertainment teamed up with Rock the Vote and the Video Game Voters Network to release the game for free on Thursday.

While most of the game plays similarly to Infinity Blade, the game also provides access to real-world voter resources and can even walk gamers through the process to vote.

Vote!!! is everything a great game should be — challenging, rewarding, superfun — and players will find themselves laughing the entire time,” said Donald Mustard, creative director of developer Chair. “We’re excited to join forces with Rock the Vote to help emphasize the importance of voter registration and encourage gamers to become more involved in the political process.”

The idea for the game came up during one of the developer’s “Epic Fridays,” Mustard said. On Fridays, the studio lets everyone work on side projects.

“We had an Epic Friday at Chair a little while ago and we decided to work on this Vote game,” he said. “We got in really early on a Friday and worked like crazy and by the end of the day we had this hilarious prototype.”

Chair then approached Epic Games with a prototype and the rest, they say, is history.
