Eagles Tickets Uses Aurasma App

Aurasma and the Philadelphia Eagles announced a partnership to bring videos featuring game highlights, analysis, previews and messages from Eagles players straight to the fans through the Eagles season tickets and the Eagles app.

This is Aurasma’s first announced partnership with an NFL team and the first time augmented reality is being used on NFL tickets. The content will be updated throughout the year, so when fans get out their ticket to go to the game, they will get the latest highlights and news.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Aurasma, the world’s first virtual browser, are excited to unveil brand new markless videos on Eagles tickets for the upcoming season, featuring highlights, analysis, game previews, and messages to fans from Eagles players. This is Aurasma’s first announced partnership with an NFL team, and the newly-created technology is the first of its kind used on the front of an NFL ticket.

“We are always trying to provide new features and experiences for our fans,” said Eagles president Don Smolenski. “We think there’s a real wow factor when season ticket holders hold their smartphones over these tickets and watch them come to life, launching videos that showcase some of our fans’ favorite players.”

To access the exclusive content, fans only need the official Eagles Mobile App on their smartphone. Once in the “fan zone” section of the app, a newly created “augmented reality” option will appear and the videos will play once a camera-like screen recognizes the trigger image on the front of the ticket. Users can touch the screen twice to enlarge the videos, and can move from one ticket’s video to another while the videos are playing. The content of the videos will be updated as the season progresses and leading up to each game.
