One of the big hits of CES 2013 was the Sony Xperia Z. Set to be released sometime in Q1 of 2013, this super sexy Android phone has some enticing specs and features. The Xperia Z is another contender in the battle of 1080p HD smartphone screens as it sports a 5″ full HD screen at 1920 x 1080 resolution with a Mobile Bravia Engine 2. Other specs include:
- Android 4.1 (upgradeable to Android 4.2)
- 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor
- 320 Adreno GPU
- 2GB of RAM
- 16GB of memory
- microSD slot
- 13MP rear shooter with HD video, HDR photo and HDR video (world’s first)
- 2.2MP front shooter with HD video
- microSIM
- 2330mAh battery
- GSM/HSDPA/LTE
- oh and DID I MENTION IT’S WATERPROOF? (Up to 30 minutes in 3 ft of water)
Sony hasn’t announced the official price yet but we guess it’ll cost around $800 unlocked. It’ll first head Europe and Asia and hopefully we’ll see it swing over to the US. Check out the video we shot live at CES 2013. Alex Lecours of Sony Mobile demonstrates this beautiful as well as a pretty sick smartwatch.
