It seems like blasphemy. When you have the design skin of a Genesis or Mega Drive made for a Nintendo portable device like the 3DS (or DSi) it doesn’t look that half bad at all. It actually made me wish the Sega Nomad or Game Gear looked like this back in the days but we can only reminisce. The skins were custom made by Nicolas Verlet (@puyogk).
