Normally I’m not into videos that are advertisements in the cover of a interview but this video is different. It stars Tiffany Monique, background singer for Beyonce and Christina Aguilera, and her experiences in recording and how that relates to the Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 recording interface. The video rings true as the problems she encountered are real problems many people go through when they are looking to start recording on their computers.
In the video, she says her DAW of choice is Digital Performer, not Pro Tools, when she is tracking in her computer. She did use Garageband, as many people have, but found herself leaving the Apple audio program suite to Motu’s. She also goes over how she incorporates the performances she is using into the songwriting process. With all this digital goods, the songs she writes still starts on a pen and paper. The video is a video highlighting the Scarlet 2i2 by Fosucrite and it’s a testament to how good audio interfaces have become.
Good video and it’s not to long.
