For the past few months, you’ve read or heard me go on and on about how awesome 4GLTE is and how everyone who can should get a 4GLTE device. Truth be told, these devices can be expensive so I completely understand why a standard 3G device is still a viable option. Well, Verizon and Pantech heard your cries and tomorrow, they will launch the new Pantech Breakout 4G. This is Verizon’s first Pantech Android device but it’s also they’re cheapest. Currently, a Droid would run from $150 to $300. Thankfully, the Pantech Breakout will launch at the low price of $99.99 after rebate on a 2 year contract. True, it is an entry-level device but it’s specs are fairly impressive:
- 4GLTE radio
- Gingerbread 2.3
- 4″ LCD 480 x 800 screen
- 1 GHz processor
- Preloaded with Swype
- 5 MP rear cam
- VGA front cam
- Bluetooth 3.0
- 8 GB microSD card
